A panel addressing the complexities of being an artist and also a woman, sometimes even a woman-artist. The panel will explore how self-identity impacts the studio: the generded process of emotional labor, the choice of material, and the ever-present perceived role of gender in our work. How does being both a woman and an artist influence our use of voice? Can we complicate things to find new meaning? Can we talk together?
