Join us at Urban Arts Space for an in-depth tour of Start at Home: Art from the Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center Collection

Larry Williamson, Jr., the collection's curator and director of the Hale Center, will give you an inside look at the history of the collection--recognized by the Association of Black Cultural Centers as one of the top Black Cultural Center art collections in the country.
Featuring work by Aminah Robinson, Elizabeth Catlett, Smoky Brown, Larry Winston Collins, Kojo Kamau, and many more.

This tour is held in conjunction with Start at Home: Art from the Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center Collection, a major multi-venue exhibition showcasing the Hale Center's art collection.

This exhibition is organized and presented by the Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center; King Arts Complex; The Ohio State University Libraries; the Arts Initiative; Ohio State’s Center for Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; and Ohio State’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

Project support for Start at Home comes from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the city of Columbus.
